c 1917 Authentic Period Kitchen Restoration

This Washington, D.C. row house still retains many of the features that made it attractive to buyers in 1917, including oak and pine floors, beautifully stained woodwork and  a large claw foot bathtub. The poorly-designed 1980's kitchen however, was completely out of sync with the rest of the house. Rather than renovate, Old House Loves helped this homeowner realize her vision for a truly authentic period kitchen with vintage appliances sourced from salvage yards, online auctions and recyclers.
